THE VERBIER RIDE 05
The Verbier Ride 05 is part of the official 2005 IFSA (International Freeskiing Association) European Freeskiing Tour and a Skier Cross qualifier for the 2006 Winter X-Games. The freeskiing festival is run in close association with TéléVerbier and Verbier Tourism. The event attracts many of the world's best freeskiers to compete in Big Mountain Freeride, SkierCross and Slope Style.
The event also acts as a great meeting point for the global freeskiing community. During the week of the event there's a festival atmosphere in one of the world's greatest ski resorts with daytime adrenaline action on the mountain and night time action in the Farinet, Casbah, Pub Mont Fort and Tara Tata.
The 2005 event from the 5-9 March will prove once again to be a great success with many of the worlds top riders already inscribed in the three disciplines. THE LONDON RIDE 04 with OAKLEY
The 3rd Ride event took place at the London Olympia on the 16th + 17th October 2004. The London Ride 04 with Oakley ( www.thelondonride.com ), was run in association with, and as part of the Daily Mail Ski + Snowboard Show 2004 ( www.dailymailskishow.co.uk ). The event consisted of a Big Air comp on real snow within the London Olympia and an Urban Rail Slide jam session. Mathias WECXSTEEN (FRA) from the Dynastar Team took 1st place and Mike WAKEFIELD from the Oakley team was first placed British Rider. The feel of the event tied in perfectly with Oakley's sports marketing manager Stewart Morgan ( www.oakley.com ) who felt that the youth movement culture in freeskiing was a great synergy with this style of event. "Urban skiing and lifestyle are two of the most important vibes for our brand right now and anything to push this forward will be a bonus to all involved".

SNOW'S IN THE HOUSE 3 FILM PREMIERE & DVD RELEASE
A freeskiing past, present and future action movie/documentory. The Snows’s In The House crew decided that after spending 5 years filming and showing the amazing world of freeskiing in the Snow Odyssey movies and the first two Snow's In The House movies they would put the research time and effort into tracing back the roots and origin of what is modern day freeskiing. Their story goes right back to the first of what would be considered 1940's 'Sick' extremists descending the face of Verbier’s Mont Gele on 2m 15cm planks of wood. Moving on to show the progression over the decades and ending with a look to the future and the latest stars of freeskiing showing and telling where the next limits will take us with comparison of Extreme and Freeride skiing. The resort of Verbier is also showcased showing how it grew from marsh land to the freeskiing mecca of today. “A film that needed to be made”.

THE 2004 BRITISH SNOWSPORT'S TOUR
The 2004 British Snowsports tour is moving around the UK during September and October 2004. World-class free-skiers will be touring at each of the tour locations.
Freestyle Champion, Andy Bennett, along with a team of Freeskiing Coaches, Ski Movie stars, Moviemakers, and Fitness Gurus will be giving ideas, advice, giveaways and even the opportunity to try skiing or snowboarding for yourself.
For those of you who have been skiing before but have lost some of your enthusiasm here is a chance to hone your technique. Coaches from the Warren Smith Ski Academy will be on hand to show you how.
For optimum snowsports enjoyment fitness is essential; the tour fitness experts will be able to offer you advice on how to prepare for your week in the mountains.
You will also be one of the first to have a “sneak preview” of “Snow's in the House 3” the sequel to “Snows in the House 2” which took Europe by storm - and even have a chance to win VIP tickets for the actual London Leicester Square Premier to meet the stars.
Warren Smith, Co-Director of Snow's in the House and Director of the 2004 Snowsports Tour says “we really want to give the people of Sheffield a taste of what a skiing and snowboarding is all about, with our experts on hand we will be able to answer questions and alleviate fears. Without sounding like TV evangelists, we want to pass on the enjoyment we have all experienced by getting the “snow bug”. My first taste of skiing was at a dry ski slope and I now run my own Ski Academy in Switzerland !!”

The event also acts as a great meeting point for the freeride community with a festival atmosphere in one of the world's greatest ski resorts.
This years event from the 6-10 March will prove once again to be a great success with many of the worlds top riders throwing it down in the three disciplines.
Melody will be working closely with the Verbier Ride team on the design and maintenance of www.verbierride.com and on the TV production of the event which will be shown on TV channels across the globe, including Eurosport YOZ, RTL, Extreme Channel, FR2, FR3, Reuters, Fox Sports to name but a few.
